Biology is becoming programmable.
Imaginary Biolabs is building the computational foundation that enables this transformation. Our vision is to move molecular development into the computer, where proteins and molecular systems can be designed, evaluated, and iteratively refined before entering the laboratory.
We are developing an AI-native platform for biological engineering, beginning with structure-based molecular machine learning. The platform combines two tightly connected layers. First, a dedicated development environment for AI engineers to build, train, benchmark, and publish molecular machine learning models using standardized structural data pipelines. Second, a molecular design interface that makes these models directly usable for biotechnologists, enabling hypothesis-driven biomolecule design and preparation for experimental validation.
By integrating model development and molecule design within a single system, we aim to translate advanced machine learning into practical experimental value. The platform is designed to integrate seamlessly with wet-lab workflows, linking computational design with structured experimental feedback. We are currently forming partnerships with experimental groups interested in AI-integrated development programs.
Imaginary Biolabs was recently founded, and this website is currently under construction.
